In their own words
Ahmad Faris
Marketing Executive · Kuala Lumpur
I took the basics session about three weeks into my first job. I had no idea how to read my payslip properly — the EPF and SOCSO lines just confused me. Two hours with Mahir sorted that out completely. The handout they gave me is still stuck to my fridge.

Nurul Izzati
HR Officer · Petaling Jaya
I went into the five-week programme not knowing what to expect. By week three I had actually set up a proper monthly budget for the first time — not because anyone told me to, but because the material made it feel manageable. The email support between sessions was genuinely useful when I had questions I forgot to ask.

Junior Engineer · Shah Alam
I appreciated that there was no attempt to sell me anything. It was genuinely just — here are the concepts, here is how they apply to someone on your salary, here are some tools you can use. The intake chat beforehand meant the session was actually about my situation, which was a pleasant surprise.

Siti Khadijah
Graduate Trainee · Kuala Lumpur
Did the full ten-week curriculum and it was worth every week. By the end I felt like I finally had a framework for thinking about money — not just a list of tips. The reference library they give you access to is also genuinely good; I have gone back to it several times since finishing.

Account Executive · Bangsar South
The weekly rhythm worked well for me. 90 minutes once a week meant I could actually absorb and try things out before the next session. My only mild comment is that I wish there had been one more session on budgeting apps specifically — but overall it was genuinely helpful, not just theoretical.

I went in sceptical — I thought it would be a thinly disguised sales pitch for some investment product. It was not. Nadia is a proper educator; she explains things clearly and moves at a pace that works. I have already recommended it to two colleagues.

Participant journeys in detail
Farah Zulaikha — Skills Programme (5 weeks)
Fresh Graduate · First Job in Finance Operations, KL · April 2025
Starting point
Farah had started her first role three months earlier. She was spending her entire salary by the 20th of each month without a clear sense of where it was going, and felt uncertain about how much she was contributing to EPF.
What she worked on
Over five sessions, Farah worked through salary budgeting, EPF deduction breakdowns, and basic saving structures. Her personal checklist from intake focused specifically on understanding her monthly cash flow.
After the programme
By the final session, Farah had set up a basic three-bucket budget. She reported she stopped running short before month-end within two weeks of starting the programme.
"I finally understood what my payslip actually means. That sounds basic but it was a real gap I had been carrying around."
Daniel Lim — Full Curriculum (10 weeks)
Software Developer, 2 years into career · Cyberjaya · February–April 2025
Starting point
Daniel felt comfortable with his technical work but had avoided thinking seriously about personal finances for two years. He had a vague sense of what his bank accounts contained but no saving habit and no clear picture of his spending patterns.
What he worked on
The ten-week curriculum gave Daniel a structured run through everyday-money concepts — from basic budgeting to understanding common banking products and everyday saving tools relevant to Malaysia.
After the programme
By the end of the programme, Daniel had a working monthly budget and a clearer understanding of the financial products he was already using. He described the reference library as "something I actually open regularly."
"I am not a finance person. The programme made it accessible without making me feel like I was being talked down to."
