2 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry form, or enrolling in a programme, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age;
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
  • You have read and agree to be bound by these terms.

If you are accessing the website on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

3 Service Description

Mahir provides financial education programmes designed for young professionals in Malaysia. These programmes deliver general money education at an educational level. They do not constitute regulated financial advice, investment advice, or any form of personalised financial guidance.

Our programmes are currently delivered to participants based in Malaysia. Availability may vary depending on scheduling and capacity. We reserve the right to modify programme content, structure, or pricing with reasonable notice.

4 Enrolment & Scheduling

Enrolment is confirmed once we have received your enquiry, conducted a brief intake conversation, and both parties have agreed to a session schedule and payment arrangement.

Session scheduling is arranged directly between you and Mahir. You are responsible for attending sessions at the agreed times. If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Repeated late cancellations may affect your place in the programme.

Session materials are provided as part of the programme and remain the property of Mahir. You may use them for your personal learning only.

5 User Responsibilities

When using our website or participating in a programme, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when making an enquiry or enrolling;
  • Use the website and programme materials for lawful personal purposes only;
  • Not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any programme materials without our written permission;
  • Not engage in disruptive, offensive, or harmful conduct during sessions;
  • Not attempt to circumvent any security measures on our website.

6 Intellectual Property

All content on this website and all programme materials — including text, graphics, handouts, workbooks, and structure — are the intellectual property of Mahir and are protected under Malaysian copyright law.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use programme materials for your personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, share, sell, or adapt these materials without our prior written consent.

7 Payment & Refunds

Fees and currency

All programme fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) inclusive of applicable taxes. Current fees are: Early-Career Money Basics Session — RM 490; Young Professional Money Skills Programme — RM 1,950; Comprehensive Money Confidence Curriculum — RM 4,700. Fees may be updated with reasonable notice.

Payment methods

Payment arrangements, including accepted methods and timing, will be confirmed during the intake process. Payment is required before sessions commence unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Refund policy

If you need to cancel your enrolment before the programme begins, please contact us at least 7 days in advance. In such cases, we will discuss a suitable arrangement on a case-by-case basis. Once sessions have commenced, fees for completed sessions are non-refundable. We handle all cancellation requests fairly and in good faith.

8 Disclaimers

Our programmes are provided for general educational purposes only. Nothing in our sessions, materials, or website constitutes regulated financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or any other form of professional advisory service. Mahir is not a licensed financial adviser under Malaysian law.

You should consult a licensed professional for advice specific to your personal financial circumstances. We make no representations about the suitability of our content for your individual situation.

While we work to keep programme content accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that all information is complete, current, or error-free. The website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

9 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Mahir shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of our website or participation in our programmes, including but not limited to financial decisions made based on information shared in sessions.

Our total liability to you in connection with any single claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific programme to which the claim relates.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, system outages, or other force majeure events that prevent us from delivering scheduled sessions. In such cases we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule.

10 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mahir, its educators, and staff from any claims, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your use of the website, or your participation in a programme.

11 Termination

Either party may terminate a programme arrangement by providing reasonable written notice. You may do so by contacting us at [email protected].

We reserve the right to withdraw a participant from a programme without refund if their conduct is disruptive, offensive, or in breach of these terms, and such issues have not been resolved following a reasonable opportunity to do so.

Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination of this agreement.

12 Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.

Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us directly at [email protected] so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally within 30 days. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Malaysian consumer protection rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 are not affected by anything in these terms.

13 General Provisions

Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, form the entire agreement between you and Mahir in relation to your use of the website and programmes.

Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

Waiver. Failure by either party to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign ours in connection with a business restructure or transfer.

Notices. Notices to us should be sent to [email protected].

14 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, the updated date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the website or enrolment in a programme after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

For material changes that significantly affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email if we hold your contact details.
